Oh you guys…just in time for real fall weather. Postbellum is now open daily from 3:30pm-2am. Complete with one of RVA’s only ROOFTOP DECKS. Here’s what Richmond.com has to say. The highlights are that there is a ROOFTOP DECK and that Jen Mindell is the chef (from the Rooster Cart and briefly Avalon). See you there!
Avalon (RIP) has been renovated and is now reopen as Social 52. You’ll find there Happy Hour information in the appropriate section on the site. New additions include a more modern/casual, open pub atmosphere along with DRAFT BEER (6 local craft taps)!! Not only is there now DRAFT BEER, but they’ve upped their selection to a menu containing nearly 70 beers. Go check the place out. It’s cozy in there.
Alright, just made a few updates for the cafes Roxy and Strawberry St. Onto more pressing matters, who’s got new football specials for this upcoming season?!? It was a section we added to the site last year that we’d like to edit and have current for this year. Contact us if you are a bar/restaurant, work for a bar/restaurant, or know of a bar/restaurant’s specials. THANKS!
There’s nothing like the smell of coffee & homicide in the morning. Join us for a delicious 3-course dinner along with a night of fun, entertainment, and scandal when YOU become the jury to help figure out ‘whodunit’!
All proceeds go to a Richmond couple adopting a baby girl domestically! Play dates are Friday, May 17th and Saturday, May 18th at 6:30pm! Order tickets and find more information here: http://www.cocoscoffeeshop.com
We all know St. Patrick’s Day is this Sunday and I’m sure everyone has made relevant plans. No one needs to be reminded about Shamrock the Block, so let me segue to another drinking event:
Sunday, April 14th, Carytown is hosting their very first Craft Beer Festival. It is from 12-6pm and tickets are $15/advance, $20/gate. Your admission includes a souvenir pint glass and unlimited craft beer. Hopefully you live in walking distance. Cross your fingers for some solid weather.
On a more somber note, Cous Cous announced today that they’ll be closing their doors at the end of March. They didn’t give a specific reason, but to read the whole post and show some support click here.
All for now. Godspeed.
